Goran Bregovic
With his Balkan origin and roots accompanied by modern ideologies from the 21st Century, Goran Bregovic’s music combines the sounds of a gypsy brass band and traditional Bulgarian polyphony, with the sounds of the guitar and percussion. All the ensembles are supported by a flared string orchestra and deep sonorities of a male choir, creating music that our soul recognizes instinctively and the body greets with an irresistible urge to dance.
Born in Sarajevo, of a Serbian mother and Croatian father. After several years of not-so-diligent music studies at the conservatory (violin), Goran forms his first group "Bijelo Dugme" at the age of sixteen.
